In this release, Compono have added functionality that allows you to create tags that can then be assigned to your candidates.
Tags are a quick and easy way to categorise candidates and find them again later. You can add a maximum of 20 tags to your library.
Creating your tag library
Please be aware that these tags are shared with other users in your organisation, so apply caution when editing or deleting an existing tag.
Deleting a tag will remove the tag from the library and un-assign the tag from all candidates.
Follow the steps below to set up your own tag library:
1. Administrators can access the tag library via the admin menu.
2. Click ‘Add a tag’.
3. Provide a name for you tag and a category of either ‘activity’ or ‘candidate’. Then click ‘Save’.
To help you manage your tag library we have provided two categories of tags - Activity and Candidate:
Activity tags represent activities you want to perform as part of your hiring process. Examples are ‘call later’, ‘follow up’, ‘check req’.
Candidate tags represent information you want to highlight related to the candidate themselves. Examples are ‘available now’, ‘strong design’.
Note: You can add a maximum of 16 characters for the tag name. Duplicate tag names are not accepted.

Using your tag library
Once your tag library is all set, users will be able to select up to 5 tags from your library to assign to candidates in a job listing.
Please note that the visibility of assigned tags is confined to candidates within the job listing where the tag was applied.
If the same candidate applies for another job within your organisation, the candidate will not be automatically tagged and any previous tags applied will not be visible in the next job.
To tag a candidate:
1. In the candidate list, click on the action menu and select ‘Tag candidate’.
2. Select the tags you want to assign to the candidate and optionally describe your change.

5. You can also filter the candidate list by the tags assigned to candidates
6. Within the candidate profile, you can also see the tags assigned to the candidate. Any changes to tags are automatically recorded in the notes.
7. To remove a tag, follow steps 1 and 2 above and de-select the tags you no longer want.
Managing your tag library
These steps apply to assigned and unassigned tags.
If you edit or delete a tag that is currently assigned to a candidate, instances of this tag will be automatically updated though out your Compono organisation.
Any previous notes in the candidates' profiles will also be updated where necessary.
