So you created a profile to apply for a job, what now?
You would have created a profile in order to apply for a job using Shortlyster, but you should consider your Shortlyster profile as your living profile or Work Passport that you will use to apply for all jobs on the Shortlyster platform. If you choose, your profile can also be used to match with other jobs in Shortlyster that you didn’t even know existed. Employers can find you based on whether you are a good fit for the job they are hiring for.
Ever applied for jobs and had no idea why you got an interview with one company but not with another? Ever wondered whether the job you were applying for was even a good fit for you in your career and what you wanted out of a job?
What Shortlyster will do is standardised the way hiring works, to remove bias from the hiring process and look instead at whether a candidate and an employer have mutual needs that match. Understanding how an organisation works and what they are looking for in an employee and understanding what a candidate wants and seeing if there is alignment.
With this in mind, it’s important for you to fill out your profile with as much detail as possible and when completing your Job Happiness preferences to really consider what you want out of a job. Because at the end of the day, you want a job that’s going to make you happy.
