Candidate Search allows you to quickly and efficiently search through your existing pool of candidates. No more sifting through old applications manually – find the perfect fit from your talent pool with ease!
Benefits of Candidate Search
Faster hiring: Quickly identify suitable candidates from your existing database, reducing time-to-hire.
Cost-effective: Leverage your past recruitment efforts by re-engaging with qualified candidates.
Access to talent: Connect with individuals who are already familiar with your organisation and have expressed interest in working with you.
How does it work?
When a candidate applies to a job within your organisation, they are automatically added to your organisation’s talent pool and are available to find in candidate search.
Who has access?
Candidate search is available to users of Compono Hire with Owner, Admin or Recruitment Manager roles.
Admin and Owner users have access to ALL the candidates in your organisation’s talent pool.
Recruitment Manager users can only view candidates who have applied to jobs associated with the hiring teams they belong to.
How to search your candidates
1. Navigate to the Talent page
- From the left-hand navigation menu
- Expand the Hire menu
- Click on Talent.
2. Start Your Search
Use the toggles to decide the search criteria you want to use. These criteria behave similarly to the corresponding criteria when creating your job ad.
NOTE: Search results are capped to ~500 candidates. It is important to specify the right criteria to narrow the results down to the candidates you are looking for.
- Keyword search: This is currently limited to name and email address (with plans to expand). To search by email address, provide the whole email address if possible. Searches by “gmail” or “yahoo” will not return results. The search results will rank the best matches at the top of the list of candidates returned
- Location: You can enter multiple locations (maximum of 10) and the distance from that location. There is also an option to include candidates willing to relocate. The search results will return candidates that match your location criteria
- Salary range: Search by the candidate's desired salary range. Exercise caution when searching by salary. Candidate salary expectations are fluid, so we've included a buffer to to help mitigate this.
- Work area: Select the work areas you are interested in. This search allows multiple selections.
- Skills: Search by multiple skills. The search results will return candidates with the best match for the skills entered.
- Qualifications: Search by multiple qualifications. The search results will return candidates with the best match for the qualifications entered. There is an option to include related qualifications.
3. Browse the results
Scroll through the list of returned candidates and click on a candidate if you want to take a closer look at their profile.
