Send the same message to multiple individual users at the same time.
Along with sending a message to individual candidates, you can also send a bulk message to a group of candidates from Compono Hire. Each candidate will receive the same message that is personalised with their name and will not be able to see who else received the message.
You might use bulk messages to send a message to a group of candidates:
- Acknowledging you have received their application
- When you update their stage in the hiring process
- When candidates have been unsuccessful.
When you send a bulk message to candidates, all the notifications will work in the same way as sending message to an individual candidate.
How to send a bulk message

- Log in and navigate to the Manage Candidates page of the job your are hiring for.
- Select the candidates you want to message using the individual selection checkbox or select all the candidates on the page using the "Select all" checkbox at the top of the table.
- After selecting the candidates you want to message, click on the “Message” button. The "Composing message" modal will appear. The left panel will show you the name and email addresses of the selected candidates. You can remove recipients by clicking the cross icon next to the candidate’s name if you wish.
- Choose to Compose from template or Compose (your own) with Compono Assist.
- If you selected Compose from template, choose a template from the dropdown menu.
- Add (or edit) a subject for your message in the "Subject" field (mandatory)
- Write (or generate) your message in the Message box (mandatory). To personalise your bulk message you will get the default placeholder
{{recipient.firstname}}in the message body which will be replaced by the candidate’s first name in the message received by the candidates. You can choose a different placeholder from{{recipient.lastname}}and{{recipient.fullname}}which will be replaced by the last name or full name of the candidate respectively. Please keep in mind, you can delete the placeholder from the message to exclude it, but any error in the placeholder format will not allow you to send the message. - If you need to upload files, you can do so by clicking on the “Upload files” button. (Supported document type:
.doc,.docx,.pdf,.rtf,.txt,.jpeg,.png) - Optionally check the "Do not reply to this message" checkbox, if you want to disable the ability for the candidate to reply to your message.
- Once you finish writing the message / uploading necessary files, click on the “Send message” button. You will get a confirmation displaying the message delivery status.
- After sending the message, you will still find the candidates selected in the candidate list. This makes it easy to update the stage of the candidates (if you need) without having to again select them from the list.
Note:
- You can cancel sending the message at any time by pressing the "Cancel" button in the "Composing Message" modal.
- Once you have sent a message, you won’t be able to delete or modify the message/attachments.
