Analysing the Work Personality Results

Once your employees have completed their work personality assessments, the next step is to visualise how your teams are composed, and to put plans in place to improve team performance.

View the Work Personality Results

To view the combined results of your employee work personality assessments, click on the “Work Personality” page under Engage. From here, you can slice and dice your data to better understand a team’s work type compositions, and discover insights into how members are collectively motivated (or demotivated) to perform each of the work types. 

To view the results of a team of employees on the work personality wheel, 

1. Click on Select Filter
2. Select a Division or Group of interest from the dropdown menu. 
3. Repeat step 2 as many times as you wish to visualise more team members on the wheel

Compono Engage will warn you if any members in the selected filters have not completed their work personality survey. You can easily view the members and send a reminder email to complete the survey, directly from Engage.

Understanding the Work Personality Results

Each time you select a group or division from the filter, Compono plots each member of that group/division on the wheel based on their assigned work personality. This relates to the work activity that person is most motivated to engage in. As you move around the wheel, their motivation and preference for the other work activities reduces.

When looking at the results of groups of people, the pattern of distribution of the dots is important. A critical aspect of working in a group is understanding how members are collectively motivated (or demotivated) to perform each work activity. As individuals come together to form a group, there is an interplay between each individual work preference. On the work personality wheel, that interplay is represented by the different shades of blue. This is based on all preferences (stronger and weaker) across the whole group. 

To help simplify this analysis, Compono Assist presents AI generated insights about the team’s collective work preferences. This cutting edge AI has been trained by a Compono corporate psychologist. This provides valuable perspectives on team composition and dynamics, all grounded in best-practice theory and academic research.

If you’d like to get more insight about one specific work type, click on one of the eight work types on the personality wheel. You will be presented with more detailed information about

• major characteristics 
• dominant work preferences 
• potential blind spots, 
• tips for collaboration, and 
• the individual members who have been classified as this type. 

This information is helpful for team leaders to communicate with and manage individuals within their team.

2. Choose a work type to add to the team
3. Click on “Show impact to the team”

The personality wheel will be updated with new shades of blue and percentage scores, to show the new combined group preference for each of the work activities.
