We are excited to announce an enhanced integration between Compono and SEEK, designed to streamline the candidate experience and optimize the employer's candidate review process.
The key improvement is a more intelligent Application Prefill system. This update significantly reduces the time SEEK candidates spend completing their Compono application and, importantly, provides employers with an instant preliminary matching score upon the submission of the SEEK application.
What is Application Prefill?
Instead of manual data entry, the system now automatically extracts essential professional and educational details directly from a candidate's CV using an AI based CV parsing engine. The extracted data is intelligently mapped to the corresponding fields in the Compono application, e.g., work history, skills, work areas, qualifications, and professional links. The candidate then has the simple task to quickly verify the prefilled information and make any necessary edits.
Note: This intelligent application prefill is already active for candidates signing up directly to Compono (independent of Seek).
Key changes for the candidate
Application prefill significantly reduces the time required for Seek candidates to complete their Compono application. After applying in Seek, candidates are now sent an email informing them that their Compono career portal application has been prefilled. They need only verify this information and then complete the company fit section.
The new Seek candidate process:
- Initiate Application: The candidate clicks the "Quick Apply" button on the SEEK job advertisement.
- Email notification: The candidate receives an email from Compono informing them to verify their pre-filled information by signing into the Compono career portal.
- Candidate sign-up: The candidate signs into Compono and is directed to their application where they can clearly see the information that needs to verified.
- Review and Edit: The candidate reviews the pre-filled data for accuracy, completes any additional mandatory fields or screening questions, and submits the application.
Note: If the candidate already has a Compono profile when applying via SEEK, their profile information is left untouched. Application prefill is not used in this scenario.
Key changes for the employer
The availability of prefilled application data provides the employer with better insights into the Seek candidate, before they even sign up to Compono. After a candidate submits their Seek application, the employer will now see a preliminary profile and matching score based on the unverified pre-filled data. The fact that the data is unverified is made very clear to the employer until the candidate physically verifies the information.
Previously, after a candidate submits their Seek application, the employer would view the candidate as an empty profile with a 0% matching score. The candidate's profile and score would only update once the candidate completed their Compono application with the relevant information.
Changes to the ranked candidates list
On the ranked list of candidates, the preliminary score will be displayed next to an AI icon that indicates that the score has been calculated using unverified information. Hovering over this icon will display the message "Preliminary score - yet to be verified"
Changes to the candidate's application view
On the candidate's application view, the employer will see a message warning them that the candidate has yet to verify the pre-filled information. This message reads “For ranking and screening purposes, we have used artificial intelligence (AI) to populate this candidate's profile with key information from their CV. Please note this information is yet to be verified by the candidate."
