In Clui, you have the option to set courses as mandatory or optional for all or certain learners in your learning space.
You can also assign courses to groups so that, although the courses aren't mandatory, each learner added to the group is automatically enrolled in the courses.
Making courses mandatory or optional
Configuring courses to be mandatory or optional is done on a course-level. For information about setting courses as mandatory or optional, see 'Managing access settings for courses'.
Assigning courses to groups
A dedicated group space exists for each group in your learning space where you can manage the courses assigned to the group in the Group-assigned courses section (on the GROUP INFO tab).
For information about accessing groups spaces and assigning courses, see 'Managing groups'. For information about setting up groups, see 'Creating groups'.
Note: If you later remove an assigned course from a group, learners who had already started the course do not lose their enrolment. Learners who had not yet started or are added to the group later, however, are not enrolled in the course.
