What requirement is more important in determining success in your job?
Once your job has been opened, you can assign relative importance weightings to each of the requirements on the Manage candidates page.
Compare and contrast the three requirements of Organisation Fit, Qualifications and Skills and consider the question “How is successful performance in this job best defined?”
For example:
The job you are hiring for may be an entry level role, so the skills a candidate has might be less important. What you really care about is
- Do they have the desired qualifications?
- Will they fit in with the company culture?
In this instance, you could set the skills to be worth only 20% of the total score, and assign both Qualifications and Organisation Fit a weighting of 40% each.
When you have assigned a weighting to each requirement, click the Recalculate button to recalculate your candidates' scores and re-rank them.
Please note the following:
-
If you have only defined ONE requirement in your job profile, then the score weighting slider will NOT be displayed and the single requirement will be weighted at 100%.
-
If you have defined TWO requirements, then the weighting slider will be displayed with ONE handle, and the default weighting for the requirements will be 50% each.
-
If you defined in ALL (3) requirements, then the weighting slider will be displayed with TWO handles and the default weighting for each requirements will be 33%, 33% and 34%.
