The detailed Matching Scores displayed on the candidate application view gives you an immediate pulse on suitability with the overall rank, percentage matches for fit requirements, and Yes/No indicators for location and salary alignment.
For Yes/No matching, a green tick indicates that the candidate's profile matches your requested criteria. A red cross indicates the opposite, i.e., the candidate's profile does not match your requested criteria.
Overall score
The overall score is a weighted sum of the individual assessment scores for skills fit, qualifications and certifications fit, and organisation fit.
The weighting for each fit is derived from the Assessments importance slider at the top of the Manage candidates page (see image below).
The individual "fit" scores are calculated based on the criteria you specified when setting up your job ad. If you modify the job ad, e.g. you remove a skill or change the importance of a skill, these scores will dynamically update.
Note: The only job ad criteria you cannot edit once the job is open is the pre-screening questions.
Location Matching
Location is matched if the candidate's preferred location lies within your specified job locations and matching radii. If you selected "Include candidates willing to relocate", the candidate's relocation preferences will also be considered for matching.
Note that Compono Hire does not factor in "work authorisation" when matching, however, you can easily check if the candidate has work authorisation within their application view. In addition, you can ask the candidate about having appropriate work authorisation in the pre-screening questions. This allows you to quickly screen and filter those candidates who do not have work authorisation, out of your candidates list.
To learn more about how a candidate specifies their location preferences, see Preferred work location and relocation.
Salary Matching
Salary is matched if the candidate's expected salary falls within the range of your specified salary for the job. The actual value of the candidate's expected salary is not visible to you as an employer.
To learn more about how a candidate specifies their salary expectations, see Salary Expectations.
