Learning space access levels determine the permissions and abilities each user has within Clui while group access levels determine the permissions and abilities each user has within a group. For more information, see 'Understanding access levels in Clui'.
To change a learning space or group access level for a user:
- Locate the user on the People page.
- Hover over their name and click the menu icon that appears (3 horizontal dots on far right).
- Select Edit access levels from the menu.
- Click the arrow next to the access level you want to change (in the Learning space access level or Group access levels section accordingly) and select their new access level.
- Click Save.
Note: You can also view or change a learning space or group access level for a user on their profile page (which is accessible when you click a user's name on the People page).
To view your own access levels, click My Profile in the header menu to open your profile page.
If you want to give certain users a different subset of permissions and abilities than those provided by the default access levels (Learner and Administrator), you can create new learning space or group access levels. For more information see 'Creating new learning space or group access levels'.
To edit existing non-default access levels, see 'Making changes to the permissions of users in your learning space'.
