You can add users to your learning space individually or in bulk. Each user requires a unique email address to access your learning space on Clui.
- On the People page, click Invite and Assign, then:
- To add users individually:
- At the top of the Select and invite users panel, enter the user's email address and, optionally, their first and last name.
- Click Add to add the user to the invitation list.
- Repeat these steps for each user you want to add.
- To add users in bulk:
- At the bottom of the Select and invite users panel, click the Download CSV template link to open a template where you can add the email address, first name, last name, role, and access level for each user (one row per user).
- Save the file then click the Upload CSV file link.
- Locate and open the file.
- To add users individually:
- Optionally, add your new users to groups and enrol them in courses.
- Select Send email to users with links to their assigned courses if you want to notify your newly added users that they have been invited to your learning space. Optionally, type a custom message to add to this notification email.
- Click Continue.
Your users are added to Clui. Note that any new users will first need to create an account using the link in their invitation email at step 3.
Note: If you have set up any 'User' type custom fields, these also appear in the Select and invite users panel.
After inviting your selected users, you can download a log showing if any of the invitations failed. Invitation failures are usually due to invalid email addresses or because the user already exists in your learning space.
For information about performing actions on users, see 'Managing users in your learning space' and 'Using the People page'.
Managing learning space access levels for new users
When adding users to your learning space, you can assign a learning space access level to them.
If you do not assign a learning space access level, 'Learner' is assigned by default. This access level does not give the user any administrative permissions.
You can change the learning space access level at any time from the People page. Find the user using the search facility. Hover your mouse on the user's row, click on the 3 dots on the far right, then click Edit access levels.
