Want to supplement your application with a CV?
You can upload a CV to your profile to help support your application. It is important to note that your CV only acts as supplementary information for employers. It is your Compono profile that is used to actively match you with jobs and improve your job application score. You should, therefore, complete your Compono profile in as much detail as possible.
When uploading your CV, only a single file of max size 3MB is allowed. You can upload the following file types:
- .doc.
- .docx
- .txt
- .rtf
You can upload your CV on various platforms including desktops, laptops and mobiles. You can also update and delete your CV.
To upload your CV follow the steps below:
- Log in to your Compono account
- Click on the “Profile” option on the navigation bar at the top of the page
- Scroll down to the “Your work background" section
- In the CV/Resume subsection, click on the “Upload >” button
- Select a file you want to upload. Please wait while the system processes your CV.
- Once your CV is processed, you have the option of pre-filling parts of your Compono profile in this section using information from your CV. Alternatively you can add the information yourself.
To delete your CV, simply click on the rubbish bin icon next to your uploaded CV.
To update your CV, simply follow the same process above from step 4.
Pre-fill your Compono Profile from your CV
This profile pre-fill feature can save you a lot of time completing your job application. Take note, however, that some CVs are harder to read than others. So the information extracted may not be quite right. The CV parsing feature guides you through the process, step-by-step, so you can quickly decide what to keep and what to discard.
- The CV parsing flow will assist in completing your qualifications, experiences and professional links found in your CV.
- For each one, you can decide if you want to add the item to your job application.
- If you do want to keep the item, complete any missing/incorrect information and click ‘Add’.
- If the item does not look right and you don’t want to keep it, click ‘Don’t add'.
