Completing the General Job Details
The general job details page includes adding the following information:
- Team: Specify which team in your organisation this job will be listed under
- Recruitment Manager (optional): Assign a recruitment manager to this job
- Job Title: The title of this job (displayed on the Compono job ad)
- Employer name: The employer name (displayed on the Compono job ad). This is also used in place of the organisation logo if one is not uploaded.
- Job ad summary: A description of the job (displayed on the Compono job ad)
- Related work areas for the job: Work areas relevant to the individual and the job experience
- Base salary range: Can be displayed or hidden to candidates
- Job Location and matching criteria: Up to 10 locations can be specified (displayed on the Compono job ad)
Note: These fields (i.e., work areas, salary, location) do not filter candidates out of the application process. These fields are used to help match candidates to your job.
Tip 1: Assign a recruitment manager if you wish to manage hiring progress and performance. Assigning a recruitment manager allows you to filter the hiring dashboard and recruitment reports down to specific individuals.
Tip 2: You can add more than one work area to your job. Work areas help you match to candidates who not only have the skills you are looking for, but also in the areas and industries that your organisation operates in.
Tip 3: You can add more than one location. Adding multiple locations enables you to match with more candidates in the talent pool, based on their preferred location. This is useful if you have multiple sites, or you allow remote work. All candidates can also be managed within the same job, rather than opening up different jobs for different locations.
How do these fields affect the Compono job ad?
The Employer name, Job title, and Job location fields affect the job ad as shown in the below image. The Job ad summary is displayed in full as well.
How do these fields affect candidate matching?
The Base salary range and Job locations are used to provide a simple visual indicator of whether a candidate matches your job profile or not. On your candidate management page, a green tick indicates a match, and a red cross indicates otherwise (see image below). Candidates can also be filtered using these fields.
When a candidate completes their application, they specify their expected salary range and their preferred work locations.
- A match on Salary indicates that the candidate's expected salary range lies within the job ad's Base salary range.
- A match on Location indicates that the candidate's preferred job location lies within any of the job ad's specified locations and radii.
Work areas are used to help match skills on the candidate's application view.
